The Grinnell Food Coalition was formed in 2020 to address food insecurity issues arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Grinnell Food Coalition is a network of organizations and individuals committed to the reduction of food insecurity in Grinnell and surrounding communities. The Coalition promotes coordination among community partners, distributes information about food sources and programs, helps maximize resources to help those with limited or uncertain access to food, and addresses gaps in resources by issuing emergency grocery vouchers to area residents through the assistance of Coalition partners.

The outreach and available support will continue to evolve and update frequently. Please be advised that some of the resources listed in the guide may expire or discontinue services.

Your Community Stands With You

The Grinnell Food Coalition is supported by Grinnell residents representing the Claude W. and Dolly Ahrens Foundation, Drake Community Library, Grinnell Area Chamber of Commerce, Grinnell College,  Grinnell Mutual Group, Imagine Grinnell, Local Foods Connection, MICA, Tiger Packs, and our local churches and schools.
