AmeriCorps member, Katie Witt, is wrapping up her 10-week service with the Grinnell Food Coalition! 
Here is some of what she’s been up to:
Ran GFC social media platforms and developed a linktree page Updated the GFC resource guide and added a mobile version Managed the Drake Community Library Food Cupboard Brought treats from Mid-Iowa Community Action – MICA to Art in the Park and In Your Neighborhood Cared for the Giving Gardens, coordinated plant donations from Olson Garden Market, and got heirloom seeds from Seed Savers Exchange for future seasons Prepped food for the Grinnell Community Meal at the Grinnell United Methodist Church Assembled meals at Grinnell Food Recovery Network Helped with a Grinnell Farm To Table distribution Assisted individuals in Spencer, Iowa, with signing up for Disaster-SNAP Attended a Community Food Systems Conference in Iowa City hosted by Iowa Farm to School and Early Care Network Learned to braid garlic from Middle Way FarmKatie is proud and grateful for the opportunity to make a difference in our community!
