Needing a unique way to recognize the “Moms” in your life this weekend?
SHE Counts is wrapping up its personal care drive on Mother’s Day and would love to help you give the best gift ever – the gift of supporting area women in need.
SHE Counts has been collecting donations of personal care items to send to Crisis Intervention Services (CIS) and Mid-Iowa Community Action (MICA). CIS helps people rebuild their lives in the aftermath of sexual assault, domestic violence, or other violent crimes. MICA helps low-income central Iowan families.
Given that in-store shopping is not on our priority list right now, you can make a monetary donation in the honor of the moms in your life. On-line donations can be made at https://ahrensfamilyfoundation.org/donate-online/ (Choose SHE Counts and note in the comment session “Personal Care Drive”), checks should be written to Ahrens Foundation, with the memo line “Personal Care Drive”. Donations are tax-deductible and donors will receive a receipt letter.
