A rare piece of Grinnell history has found a new home at the Foundation offices at Ahrens Park.
Manufactured by Miracle Equipment Company in Grinnell, Iowa, this vintage carousel is a reminder of the innovation and craftsmanship that made Miracle a nationally recognized name. Originally designed in the 1970s and 1980s for shopping centers, grocery stores, airports, and family attractions, this miniature coin-operated carousel delighted generations of children and today it stands as a special piece of our legacy.
The first photo shows the carousel today at Ahrens Park. The second photo is a vintage image of a similar Miracle Carousel from the same era and design, offering a glimpse of how these beloved rides once appeared in everyday settings across America.
