It is exciting to see the progress continuing at the site of our new elementary school. The latest drone footage gives us a great look at how much the site is beginning to take shape.
Work continues on foundations and footings throughout the building footprint, along with underground utility and electrical work. Crews are also preparing the north parking area and completing the site work necessary for the next major phases of construction.
Over the next several weeks, we should begin to see even more noticeable changes. Precast concrete work is underway, with installation currently scheduled to begin in early September. Boyd Jones is also working closely with the District and City to coordinate construction traffic, bus routes, and the delivery of the large precast panels as we move into that phase of the project.
There is still a great deal of work ahead, but it is exciting to watch the plans become something we can actually see taking shape for our students, staff, families, and community.
