In case you missed it, Ahrens Park and Grinnell Parks and Recreation hosted the 2nd Annual Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt on Friday, March 29th. 270 kids were registered for the event with 6000 eggs (2000 per field) and 18 grand prizes available to win. To win a grand prize a child had to find a golden ticket in an egg. There were 6 golden tickets per field. We had a great time this year and we hope the participants and their family did as well!
Huge shoutout to our volunteers, the Grinnell-Newburg High School Baseball and Softball teams. Also a huge thanks Ahrens Park and Claude W. & Dolly Ahrens Foundation for partnering and providing the candy for the eggs. And thanks to the businesses and organizations that donated grand prize items and baskets for the kids to win:
