The Prairie Burn 100 Gravel Bike Ride and Fun Run returns on Saturday, June 6, bringing exciting updates, new route options, and a full day of community activities to Grinnell.

This year’s event introduces all-new gravel routes and a shift from miles to kilometers, offering participants fresh challenges and experiences on some of the area’s most scenic roads. Riders can choose from a 100-kilometer race, 50-kilometer ride, or 25-kilometer ride. New this year is a Team of 3 option for the 100K race, where teams ride together and the final rider to cross the finish line determines the team’s official time.

The Prairie Burn Fun Run also returns as a fan favorite, with both 5K and 3K options available for runners and walkers of all ages.

Participants who register by May 1 will receive a free event t-shirt.

“This year’s Prairie Burn is shaping up to be one of our best yet,” said Tim Ellsworth. “We’re excited to introduce new routes that showcase the beauty and challenge of our local gravel, while also expanding the event to include even more ways for people to participate. From the rides and run to the activities throughout the day, Prairie Burn is about bringing people together and celebrating community.”
