Thinking about going solar? The Grow Solar Jasper + Poweshiek program is a great way to learn more! If you are a property owner in Jasper or Poweshiek County, you can attend a free Solar Power Hour either in person or by Zoom to learn more about the program and it can help make solar more accessible and affordable in our community.
Come learn about the basics of solar, its financial benefits, and how the solar group buy program can lower the cost of installing solar. After the session, you can schedule a free, no-obligation site assessment/cost estimate with a trusted Iowa solar installer.
Two opportunities available to learn more:
· Virtual Power-Hour, Thursday, May 15 at 3pm
· In-Person Power-Hour, Wednesday, May 28 at 5:30pm at Drake Community Library
The program is brought to you by the Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA), a Wisconsin-based nonprofit that has run over 70 similar programs across the Midwest. The MREA is teaming up with local partners at The Nature Conservancy, 1000 Friends of Iowa and Imagine Grinnell offer our solar education and bulk purchasing program to property owners in Poweshiek and Jasper counties.
