The Claude W. and Dolly Ahrens Foundation (CDAF) is pleased to co-host the next Poweshiek Area Nonprofit Gathering (PANG) session with the Greater Poweshiek Community Foundation on Wednesday, October 14, from 12:00–1:00 p.m. at the Katherine Howell Weingart Civic Innovation Pavilion.
The October session will feature Shannon Fitzgerald, Chief Financial Officer, CPA, and Controller at CDAF, presenting “Financial Fundamentals for Nonprofits.” The discussion will cover key financial concepts and practical considerations designed to help nonprofit leaders better understand, manage, and strengthen their organizations’ finances.
PANG brings together nonprofit and public organizations throughout Poweshiek County to build meaningful connections, share resources, strengthen skills, and encourage collaboration. Through educational sessions and peer connections, PANG supports organizations in building capacity and increasing their impact across the communities they serve.
“Strong nonprofit organizations are essential to a strong community, and financial knowledge is an important part of building sustainable organizations,” said Julie Gosselink, President & CEO of the Claude W. and Dolly Ahrens Foundation. “We’re excited to co-host this session and provide nonprofit leaders with practical information they can take back and apply within their own organizations.”
Local nonprofit and public-sector leaders, staff, and board members are encouraged to attend. There is no cost to participate.
