Starting Tuesday morning, May 19th, the intersection of Penrose St. and 10th Ave. will be fully closed for utility work related to the new Grinnell-Newburg Community School District Elementary Campus project. The closure is expected to last up to three weeks.
Please note: Penrose St. will be closed to through traffic during this time.
What to Expect:
• The intersection at Penrose St. & 10th Ave. will be fully closed
• No through traffic will be allowed
• Access north of 10th Ave. will remain available from the north via 16th Ave.
• Access south of 10th Ave. will remain available from the south
• Drivers should follow all posted detour signage
• The north driveway will temporarily become a 2-way drive
Access to:
* Ahrens Park
* Grinnell Athletic & Recreation Center (GARC)
* Claude W. & Dolly Ahrens Foundation
* District Offices
* Early Learning Center
All access will be from the north driveway only, accessible via 16th Ave.
The south driveway will be closed during construction.
