2.  Annually support and promote awareness for International Women’s Day on March 8th

During International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, we look back at the incredible women who paved the way for us. But at SHE Counts, we also look forward.

We believe the best way to honor women's history is to make history by supporting, helping, and empowering the women and girls living right here in Poweshiek County today. Whether it’s providing period dignity, fostering a love for math in young girls, or sending a first-gen student to college, we are actively building a stronger community.

History isn't just something we read about—it’s something we build together every single day. Your donation directly funds these local, life-changing initiatives.

Who says math isn't a girl's game? 🧠✨

Our SHE Counts Math Club is breaking stereotypes and building serious confidence for girls in 3rd through 5th grade! By making math fun, collaborative, and accessible, we’re helping young minds realize they are fully capable of thriving in STEM fields.
Empowering girls starts early. Your donations help us fund supplies, curriculum, and more that keep this club free and accessible to local families.

Invest in her future today—because a girl who is confident in math today is a leader in STEM tomorrow.

No one should have to miss school or work simply because they lack access to basic period products. Through SHE Counts, we are working year-round to end period poverty right here in Poweshiek County.

Thanks to our amazing community, we supply free period products to students and families at:
• Grinnell High School & Middle School
• Montezuma Schools & Library
• BGM Schools
• MICA Food Pantry
• Drake Library Food Cupboard
But keeping these shelves stocked all year takes a village. When you donate to SHE Counts, 100% of your gift goes directly toward purchasing these essential items for neighbors who need them most.

Let’s keep supporting and empowering our local girls and women together.
