Grinnell we are getting closer! Hopefully with the cold temps coming at the end of the week it will allow us to resurface and get the rough edges out to make it safe to skate for everyone! Weather plays a big factor in opening the Ice Rink each day; if we get snow it must be cleared before anyone skates. The more people shoveling snow we have the quicker we can get the Ice Rink open on those days. If at anytime you would like to volunteer to help clear snow off the rink please send us a private message with your email address. When department staff sets out to clear the snow we will send an email out to those on a list and you can bring a snow shovel to lend a helping hand if you are able. Please bear with us as we try to get the rink open safely!
